Well my interpretation ...
Day 1 - Ellie and Beth helped with this one .. .well actually they did most of it!!!
Day 2 - I created my own resist paper to ink up, just by heat embossing the stamped image.
Days 3 and 4 are in progress - sickness in the house meant they got pushed aside!!
Day 5 - love love love this technique ... so much that I did another ...
In a different colourway!!
And a Christmas card ... I did think i had done all my cards but I am 5 short!!
I stamped the Santa collage in versafine and then coloured his face and eyes in using distress inks. The dp is Bo Bunny Snowflake collection and I stitched it to the cardstock and distressed it all. I added some stained seam binding and lace, and knot and christmas tree charm. Finally I stamped the sentiment straight onto the dp in versafine.

Another Bauble
Yep, still chipping away at those Christmas cards ... I made this one in a bit of a playing session. I used distress inks and glamour mists to create the inked background, and then stamped the swirly sentiment onto it. The I took a text stamp and brushed it with bleach and stamped it over the sentiment (which I masked). Finally I cut the result out using a Spellbinders ornament die, and cut a larger one for a mat. The cardstock is SU and I scored the teal one using my score board. Finally a bit of organza ribbon and a bow.
I got the idea of stamping with bleach, aving had another go at colouring images stamped onto Kraft with bleach ... not sure how good bleach is for the rubber though!
Challenges:
Oh La La Creations - bingo - ribbon, diecut and sparkle - the glimmer mist has pearlised and sparkled the bauble
Ladybug Craft - winter blues
Creative Inspirations - winter colours
Creative Card Crew - monochromatic
Divas by Design - monochromatic

Elegant bauble
Its no a colour I use ...pink!!! But having made a different kind of Christmas card over the weekend i thought I would have a go at pink again! I stamped one of Waltzing mouse's Ornaments in versamark onto pink cardstock and embossed it in gold, before cutting it out using my nestie baubles. The dp is Basic Grey Jovial and it is pinks and creams and golds with flowers nad texts on it ... so not me!!! Finally I added some white organza ribbon and a double loop bow to finish it off.
I now need to recover from the pink experience!!

Could I do it again???
I was playing around with a Tattered Angels mask and some glimmer mists ... and look what I created ... an eye. I was looking for a splodgy, pooling colour kind of look, if that makes any sense. When it dried I noticed that with the mask line it looks like there is an animal's eye ... not sure I could ever replicate that one!!

Playtime
So whilst the girls were having their bath I had a play again with inks, mists and masks ...
For this card I used a mask from a Tattered Angels Blossom set. I inked the cardstock in marigold DI and then placed the mask across. I then inked over in rusty hinge, honey and vintage photo. When it was all dry I spritzed over with frost glimmer mist. Finally I stamped the sentiment.

Sentimental sundays - thank you
Aud's Sentiments - thank you
Little Miss Muffet - simplicity

And this ongoing ... I had an idea to use one of my MS punches to create a mask. Having punched the mask, i inked over it using Victorian Velvet DI and then spritzed over it with gold glimmer mist. I used a scrap piece of card and swiped it with the DI and then mopped up the waste glimmer mist onto it ... dried and cut a TH tatter flower out. Just pondering if its a centre flowe, off the edge, needs a stmping/embossing ... just needs a something to finish it off!

WOYWW
Its Wednesday and time for a snoop round the crafting blogs led by Julia.
And here's my hive a mess and creativity ...
I started playing yesterday afternoon, using a TH tattered flower die cut I had spare, and just paper clipped it to a piece of cardstock I had sprayed with gold glimmer mist. I then sprayed over at an angle Santa Baby and Tattered leather mists and left to dry ... yep no heat gun!!
So we move on several hours ...
One dried homemade paper, and one made using the resist technique. I thought I would have a go at seeing if I could use masks as the base ... sort of worked ... need a bit of practise on that!!
And as I loved my flower paper so much ... .I did it again using purple and blue mists ...
and then added glitter glaze to the masked area, and glitter glam to the flower that was the mask, put it on pads and popped it on the cardstock ... liking!
Need to play more!!

Christmas is coming ...
I've been getting all inky again!!! And playing!!
For this Christmas card, I used stormy skies, faded jeans and chipped sapphire DIs to created the night sky (using a punched circle to mask off the moon), and after drying, spritzed some pearl glimmer mists over it. I stamped the Inkylicious silhouette town and santa out using versafine ink.
Challenges:
2 Sisters - Anything Goes
Allsorts - black, white + one
Totally Gorguss - Christmas traditionsTop tip Tuesday - Anything Christmas Goes
Penny Black and more at Allsorts - All creatures great and small (reindeer!)
I used an Inkylicious tag and smeared it with iced spruce and evergreen bough DIs, before misting with dewdrop glimmer mist. I debossed the tag using the CB large snowflake cut and emboss set and then covered the tag in rock candy crackle paint, scrapping off the excess so there was only paint in the debossed sections. I added a snowflake made the same way as the tag base, and added a snowflake cut using a Spellbinder's die. Finally some ribbon.

Leaves
I love playing and getting inky ... so while my lovely hubby gave the girls their dippy eggs (ewwww!!) I got inky ...
I used the ghosting technique for this card, making my card blank from glossy photo paper. The leaves, from Waltzing Mouse Stamp's Frame it set, are stamped in versamark. I made a mask using my deckled rectangle nesties and distressed over the leaves using wild honey, gathered sticks and walnut stain. I added some hemp twine, tied through a wooden button, and cut a leaf stamped in cocoa ink.
For this card, I used the same mask as the first card, but used an ordinary card blank. I distressed the mask using the same inks, and then stamped the leaf in walnut stain and rusty hinge DIs. Again a wooden button with hemp threaded through. The leaves are stamped in walnut stain and rusty hinge and a little of the cut off hemp has been added to create a tag.

Butterflies
I made my auntie's birthday card last night, she doesn't do fussy, but loves butterflies!!! The butterflies are punched using a TH movers and shakers die and a Martha Stewart punch, and the cardstock is a mix of SU and from my stash. I embossed the lower half of the cardstock and then added the ickle butterflies. Just some flat backed pearls to embellish.
Challenges:
Fab n Funky - all white on the night
Color throwdown - pale pink, real red, limeade and pool party

Crafts and Me - birthday
Fabulous Friday - embossing
Do you stack up - inspiration by a song

The song that inspired me is one the girls are constantly singing, thanks to hymn practise at school ... if I were a butterfly. ...
If I were a butterfly
I'd thank you Lord for giving me wings
If I were a robin in a tree
I'd thank you Lord that I could sing
If I were a fish in the sea
I'd wiggle my tail and I'd giggle with glee
But I just thank you Father for making me, me
CHORUS
For you gave me a heart and you gave me a smile
You gave me Jesus and you made me your child
And I just thank you Father for making me, me
I'd thank you Lord for giving me wings
If I were a robin in a tree
I'd thank you Lord that I could sing

You gave me Jesus and you made me your child
And I just thank you Father for making me, me
And so on ... Its not a bad song I am sure, must have a nice tune ... wish the girls could sing it in tune ... oh and know all the words!!!
I love Fridays, partly as it is the last working day of the week, but mainly as it is time for the Totally Papercraft Challenge, and the DT are all amazing people, with a wicked sense of humour!!!!! Anyway this week's challenge is Victorian.
I made a tag using GCD papers and a bauble from Waltzing mouse's Holiday Ornaments set. I stamped it in Cherry cobbler ink and then took my quickie glue pen and 'coloured in' the no-inked parts of the bauble and added gold glamour dust. Everything has been distressed to give it that vintagey feel, and these dp are very Victorian in their style. I just need to make the card for it to go on!!!

A Couple of Snowflakes
I am still playing while making my Christmas cards .. not really getting the numbers made, but enjoying myself!!
I used the card left from cutting a Spellbinders Snowflake out, and stained it using vintage photo DI and then gave it a good sprtizing with walnut gold glimmer mist. Being impatient I took my heat gun to it and dried it off. The background is created by stamping snowflakes in versamark onto glassen paper and then brushing perfect pearls over the top, before heat setting. Finally the small snowflake is glimmered using gold perfect pearls in a bit of water in a mini mister.
For this card I used a Tatter Angels snowflake mask and tacked it to the white card base, before layering up dew drop, frost and artic blue glimmer mists. The snowflake is the die I cut from the previous card, and the centre snowflake is spritzed, well actually soaked(!!) in arctic blue glimmer mist ... teach me for allowing a 5 year old to help ... there was a point when I thought the whole craft room could be sheeny, sparkly blue!!!!
So that was my playing around to find some cards to make ... more playing to do!!

Traditional Nordic Winter
Whilst Christmas seems to be rushing upon me ... this week is already dragging!! Can't believe it is only Tuesday .. .feels like it should be Thursday LOL!!
But I have knocked another Christmas card on the head ...
I stamped the nordic pattern onto Kraft paper using Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green SU ink, using Nordic Winter from Waltzing Mouse Stamps. The reindeer and bauble is stamped up using the same set and Holiday Ornaments. I stritched round all the panels and then added a couple of layered flowers, with brads at their centres and 3 gems to the bauble.

A bit of frippery!!
I use Waltzing mouse Steamps Victorian Frippery set for this card, and SU cardstock and ink (2011/12 colour set). I stamped the border at the top and bottom of the white cardstock, and then the circle. The circle is matted onto teal cardstock and put on 3d pads. I added some ribbon, and a knot and some button from my stash. Finally I stamped the merci sentiment from the same stamp set, and matted that up too.

Autumn leaves
I LOVE autumn, with its rich colours and crisp frosty mornings ... and I LOVE TH's limited edition autumn DIs!!! I created the background using orange and brown tone DIs and dauber sponges. The circle is one from Waltzing Mouse Stamps and I stamped that in sepia. I stained the chipboard leaf and vein using DIs and finally added some brown gingham (can't have enough gingham LOL!)

A couple of Christmas cards
I really need to get a move on with my Christmas cards, so I have been having a play to find some quick and easy makes ...
I love the latest Christmas stamps from Waltzing Mouse Stamps, especially the baubles and Nordic Winter sets. I stamped the bauble in cherry cobbler ink and the masked and stamped the pink detail from the Nordic Winter set. I used the square frame from WMS Frame it set to frame the bauble and added the sentiment from the Frame it set. Finally I doodled a hanging loop. The dp is BG Eskimo Kisses and I added some white seam binding, tied a knot and added a pink button.
Challenges:

Stamptacular Sunday - borders and frames
Just Add Ink - blushing bride, cherry cobbler, neutral
Come and get it - anything goes
IMy 2nd play involved some Marianne Creatible dies I bought a couple of months ago and haven't used yet! I cut the branch out of TH Coredinations paper and sanded it to age it a little. I covered a scrap of cardstock in red and gold decopatch paper and then cut out the star bauble. I added a bow to secure the bauble to the branch. The dp is Nitwits and I used olive and crumb cake cardstock. Finally a few teeny pearls to finish.

Nordic winter meets a big bauble!
I have found a little playing time, and am a happy girl as I have inky fingers!!
I used my latest stamp sets from Waltzing mouse Stamps, Nordic Winter and Holiday Ornaments. I inked them up using SU Not quite Navy and then added some ribbon. I used my edgibilities to create the fancy border, and added some ribbon to the card. Not sure it really needs a sentiment ... maybe a bit of sparkle ... will think about that one!

Baubles
I have been dying (haha!!) to play with these Waltzing mouse Stamps since they landed on my doormat the other day, but work and children got in the way!! However I have had a play this afternoon.
I inked the baubles up in Cranberry ink and then cut them out using my bauble nesties. The edges if the cardstock has been distressed and I added gold embossing powder to the cream cardstock and heat embossed it. I stamped the sentiment from the sme stamp set and cut and mat it using my nestie tags. Green organza ribbon and fancy braid for the baubles finish it off. The baubles are popped up using foam pads.

Welcome to my new blog. I have decided to have a separate blog for makes that are not Design Team cards and also are different to my usual cute stamping.
